We went out on the water today on one of the “HEY LOOK AT THIS!” boats (re: not the giant professional one).
I thought we were going super fast for a boat. The Puma team then told me that their boats go literally twice as fast as that (around 80mph) if not more – over insanely rough waters in the deep ocean. Not just putting around a marina on a Tuesday afternoon.
Still, though, this may give you just a small taste of the Abu Dhabi marina and the insane amount of work/speed/badassedry that goes into professional sailing.
